TeleManagerâ„¢ Hosted IVR is a patented outsourced (ASP model) IVR Service that enables any pharmacy to offer automated prescription refills without the need to purchase or install any computer hardware or telephone equipment and will work without the need to integrate with your pharmacy management system. This unique service allows pharmacy personnel to answer phones when they can, ensuring they continue to provide the personal touch. But when a patient or a prescriber dials the pharmacy and the phone is not answered after a set number of rings, or the line is busy, the call is automatically handled by the TeleManager's Hosted IVR servers. Prescription information is then faxed or e-mailed to your pharmacy in a timely manner.
As an added feature the Hosted IVR Service provides a dedicated toll free telephone line, which is a direct line to the IVR. By promoting this toll free number as a special refill line your pharmacy can offer your patients the option to call the IVR directly; thereby dramatically reducing the number of phone calls coming into the pharmacy.
This Hosted Service makes your store available to your patients and prescribers 24/7, allowing them to place orders whenever it is convenient for them. The Hosted IVR Service also provides you with a disaster recovery safety net utilizing the TeleManager Data Center.
